AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Lincoln-Woodstock Recreation After School Program is a fun, safe and supervised place for youth in grades K-5
to participate in a variety of activities after school. After School Program children are picked up at the Elementary School at 2:30 pm. From there they have a chance to get some energy out on the elementary school playground before heading to the Lincoln-Woodstock Community Center. While at the Community Center, children have a snack, time for homework, arts, crafts, and the opportunity to participate in group and individual games. Space is limited to 30 children. Parent pickup is between 4:30-5pm.

Grades K-5. Spring training is here! Come to this FREE open gym to work on your skills and get ready for the season. This will be held in the Middle/High School gym from 2/23 until 4/20

WALK NH Week
June 1-June 7
All ages. Walk NH is a FREE program designed to promote walking in New Hampshire. Each person who participates will receive a log to record their walking. Each person who reaches their chosen goal will receive an "I walked NH" patch & a certificate signed by Governor Maggie Hassen. MISSION: To engage children and adults in walking & raise awareness of walking as a part of a healthy lifestyle. For more locations & towns participating click on www.walknh.org. something fun & affordable during vacation week? These programs are filled each day with active games, art, music, team building activities, board games, and exciting field trips! Ages 5-9. The 2014 Kanc Summer Kamp program will run from June 23-August 15. this camp is for 5-9 year olds, and is held at the Kanc Recreation Area from 9am-3pm, Monday-Friday (Except for Friday 4th of July). Registration will be at the Lin-Wood Recreation Department located at the Community Center from 8am-3pm, from June 2-June 13. The registration fee is $150. per camper for the 8-week session, and MUST be paid at that time in order to hold your child's place in the program. The registration fee DOES NOT INCLUDE FIELD TRIPS OR T-SHIRTS. After June 13 deadline the cost is $10 per day for drop-in participants. These rates are for the Lincoln and Woodstock residents only. Non-residents rates are $300. per camper or $15. drop-in per day (NOT INCLUDING FIELD TRIPS OR T-SHIRT) REMINDER: Families are responsible for purchasing camp T-SHIRTS for participants. Cost is $5, checks payable to Lin-Wood Friends of Rec. If you have any questions contact Tara at the Recreation office before June 13!

Tour Flag Hill Winery & Distillery
Thursday, May 15th. Come with us as we Tour the Flag Hill Winery & Distillery in Lee NH. They have a Tasting Room & Gift Store that is housed in the original 17th century post and beam barn, built on the property years ago for the purpose of housing cattle. Refurbished into a quintessential New England store with lots of nooks & crannies where you will find a variety of NH trinkets and treasures. We will be leaving from the Community Center parking lot at 8:30 am, having lunch first at an area restaurant, then heading for the tour of the winery and back to Linicoln for 4PM. cost: $10. for the tour & includes a souvenir wine glass, lunch off the menu at an area restaurant, transportation is FREE.
Tuesday June 10th we will be touring Tom & Oive Plant's mountaintop estate, Lucknow, built in 1913-1914 high in the Ossipee Mountain Range. Known as Castle in the Clouds since its opening to the public in 1959, the house is an unusual example of Arts and Craft architecture in New England, expressing the aesthetic movement's philosophy of living in harmony with nature.
We will be leaving from the Community Center parking lot at 8:30 am, having the tour of the Castle, then having lunch at an area restaurant, and then back to Lincoln for 4pm. cost: $14. for over 65+, lunch off the menu at an area restaurant and transportation is FREE! Every year the Lin-Wood Recreation Department depends on volunteers to assist in a variety of programs and activities such as coaching youth sports teams, helping at special events, assisting others at the Lin-wood Food Pantry, homework help during the After School Program, Eagle Scout projects, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate internships, community clean up projects, Lin-Wood Senior Center drivers and more! We encourage individuals, businesses, youth and adult organizations and corporate sponsors to learn more about our volunteer program. FRIENDS OF RECREATIONThe Lincoln-Woodstock Friends of Recreation is an organization of volunteers that give their time and energy towards the goal of quality, low-cost recreation for every member of this community. They achieve this by spending countless hours working on fundraising events, community activities, and advertising for upcoming events. Current officers: President Kim Pickering, Vice President Kristie Morris, Treasurer Vicki Iles, Secretary Danielle Avery, and Event Coordinatator Tara Tower. Any resident of Lincoln or Woodstock can be a "Friend of Recreation." If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact any of the above officers or the Recreation Department office. Friends of Recreation are scheduled depending on upcoming activities and are open to all attend and participate!
