"BIG AIR" Contest

RULES FOR 8TH ANNUAL EVENT:
1) A parent must complete the release section on the sign-up form.
2) NO inverted jumps. (Feet cannot go above competitor's head).
3) Helmets are mandatory.
4) Practice jumps will be permitted from 10am to noon. The registration will begin at 12:30pm, and the event will begin at 1pm. NO practice jumps will permitted once the competition begins.
5) Three judges will be responsible for determining the winners.
6) Fun is the Focus! Competitor, friends and parents...cheer for EVERYONE! If we support all of the competitors...Everone is a winner!!
FREE LUNCH at 12:00pm both days for ALL RACERS!

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Lincoln-Woodstock Recreation After School Program is a fun, safe and supervised place for youth in grades K-5
to participate in a variety of activities after school. After School Program children are picked up at the Elementary School at 2:30 pm. From there they have a chance to get some energy out on the elementary school playground before heading to the Lincoln-Woodstock Community Center. While at the Community Center, children have a snack, time for homework, arts, crafts, and the opportunity to participate in group and individual games. Space is limited to 30 children. Parent pickup is between 4:30-5pm.

$10/day; $25/week; $120/session
Session 1: January 2 - February 21
Session 2: March 3 - April 18

Come play some pick up basketball at the Lin-Wood MHS. This is a FREE activity that is held Saturdays from now until Spring.

Pre Ski Lessons (Ages 3-4)
These Classes are intended for children who have never skied before or who have very little experience. Classes will begin with a focus on safety and equipment. Further fundamental techniques will be taught. Please note that each participant must have their own skis, boots, and helmet (no poles please) Classes are limited to 4 participants. they will begin at 10:00am and 45 minutes long. Space is very limited!

Kanc Carvers-Learn to Turn...Grades 1 & 2
For those that can ride the rope and ski with confidence on intermediate terrain, and are ready to learn race techniques. Participants are required to purchase a daily rope tow ticket, or have a season pass to the Kand Ski Area. No cost for lessons. Lessons are held at the Kanc Ski Area. Space is limited! Register at the Kanc Rec Area prior to the start of the sessions.

The Lin-Wood Recreation Dept. has skis, boards, poles, boots, helmets and skates to borrow located at the warming hut. A waiver must be signed by an adult before equipment can be used. If you are interested in donating your used equipment contact the Kanc!
Kanc Carvers-Learn to Race

Beginner Ski Slope
Is for beginners ONLY and is meant to be used by skiers that are not ready for the rope tow yet. There is NO CHARGE for the use of the beginner ski slope.
Is an outdoor, manually flooded rink that is only open when temperatures permit. The warming hut is available during the hours that the ski area is open. You are welcome to skate anytime from dawn until 9pm (when ice allows). There are a limited number of skates, in various sizes available for use when the warming hut is open. Skating is FREE
Join us for the 5th annual Kanc-A-Thon event. Ski/Board-A-Thon, Sled-A-Thon, and Skate-A-Thon. All participants will be eligible for prizes that will be raffled off throughout the event. There will be prizes for each "a-thon" member who raises the most money & participants who make the most runs/laps.
There is a minimum donation of $20.00 for each participant. (Checks made payable to Lin-Wood Friends of Recreation)

Is located to the right of the ski slope and is also used as a beginner ski slope, so sledders please use caution to avoid skiers. The hill is open when there is snow. NO SLEDDING ALLOWED ON THE ROPE TOW SKI SLOPE.

Every year the Lin-Wood Recreation Department depends on volunteers to assist in a variety of programs and activities such as coaching youth sports teams, helping at special events, assisting others at the Lin-wood Food Pantry, homework help during the After School Program, Eagle Scout projects, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate internships, community clean up projects, Lin-Wood Senior Center drivers and more! We encourage individuals, businesses, youth and adult organizations and corporate sponsors to learn more about our volunteer program. FRIENDS OF RECREATIONThe Lincoln-Woodstock Friends of Recreation is an organization of volunteers that give their time and energy towards the goal of quality, low-cost recreation for every member of this community. They achieve this by spending countless hours working on fundraising events, community activities, and advertising for upcoming events. Current officers: President Kim Pickering, Vice President Kristie Morris, Treasurer Vicki Iles, Secretary Danielle Avery, and Event Coordinatator Tara Tower. Any resident of Lincoln or Woodstock can be a "Friend of Recreation." If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact any of the above officers or the Recreation Department office. Friends of Recreation are scheduled depending on upcoming activities and are open to all attend and participate!
