Select Board Meeting Minutes - March 5, 2007

Lincoln Board of Selectmen
Workshop Minutes
March 5, 2007
5:15 pm

Present: Chairman Deanna Huot, Selectman Patricia McTeague, Recording Secretary Susan Chenard, Moderator OJ Robinson, Budget Chairman Chester Kahn

The meeting started with a combination of an abatement recommendation and a supplemental recommendation for Tax Map 4 Lot 7-1. The property had been inadvertently listed in an incorrect owner's name. A motion was made by Selectman Moore, seconded by Selectman McTeague, to grant the abatement to Jori Properties, LLC. A motion was then made by Selectman Moore, seconded by Selectman McTeague, to approve the supplemental tax for Green Acre Woodlands, Inc., the true owner.

Next, there was a brief discussion regarding the recently received letter from the Army Corp of Engineers in response to the one we had sent February 23rd.

Moderator Robinson arrived at 5:20pm, and the discussion turned to the assignment of Warrant Articles, based on familiarity of the subjects, as follows:

* This article will most likely also be accompanied by a PowerPoint Show by the NCCA. There was also a brief discussion on the wording of this article and its predecessor from the 2005 meeting, regarding allowing Selectman to convey town property.

Moderator Robinson mentioned that as he expected a lower turnout at the polls this year, only two checklist people needed to be present. He has been our moderator for about 15 years now, having started with the budget committee back in 1987.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 pm. The Selectmen then reviewed payroll and accounts payable check registers for the week ending March 4, 2007.
