Officer Commendation

Lincoln's Newest Police Officer

Letter received from passerby in distress:

"I was on my way home from work at about 1230 am (I work in bow nh and live in whitefield) and I was beat tired and apparently never so much as glanced at the gas gauge about five mins north of Plymouth my car said zero miles until empty it was the lowest I had ever seen it. I didn't know what to do so I drove twenty mins after it said empty to Lincoln thinking the store was open it wasn't so after speaking to an officer I met on main st I went to price chopper and I had $33 to my name but no debit or credit cards. So I bought the cheapest visa gift card for $25 then went to the gas station because you can still get gas with a card but the card didn't work I was (stuck with) no one to call or anything . Then another Lincoln police officer pulled in to get gas in his cruiser I figured it was a long shot but I explained to him what was going on told him I had $8 and asked if he would use his personal card and I would give him the cash. To my surprise he said no problem and he put his card in and started pumping my gas he got close to the $8 and I reminded him he said don't worry about it he then put in $15 and I tried to give him the cash I had and he refused and said I was all set. Best experience with an officer in my life. This officer is truly a godsend I thanked him but never got his name.

Officer Jacob is our newest member to the Lincoln Police Department.

Welcome and Thank You Officer Jacob!
